Changho Yu joined SK Biopharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., and its subsidiary, SK Life Science, in 2002. During his 20-year tenure, Mr. Yu has become an integral leader who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Strategy and Business Development function. As VP, Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Yu is responsible for shaping the companies’ long-term direction and ensuring sustainable growth. This includes developing corporate strategy, managing the company’s investment portfolio, and conducting portfolio planning and long-range forecasting. The Strategy team led by Mr. Yu identifies and evaluates strategic opportunities—including emerging markets, innovation trends, and business model evolution—to ensure the company’s continued success and relevance.

Additionally, Mr. Yu oversees the Business Development function that drives SK Life Science’s external growth by identifying and pursuing strategic partnerships, licensing opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and other collaborations. This team is responsible for conducting due diligence on potential deals, ensuring that external opportunities align with SK Life Science’s mission and long-term strategy while expanding our global presence and capabilities.

Through his prior experiences, Mr. Yu has successfully developed business strategies for the drug development business, helping to grow the business. He has excelled in analyzing industry environments, ranging from business development to competitor growth, and developing financial strategies based on his findings. He has also led the initial public offering of SK Biopharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. In 2020.

Before joining SK Life Science, Inc. and SK Biopharmaceuticals, Mr. Yu worked as an investment analyst for I&G Venture Capital Co., Ltd. Mr. Yu earned his bachelor’s degree from the Pohang University of Science and Technology, complemented by a master’s degree in biochemical engineering from the Pohang University of Science and Technology and by a master’s degree in management engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Collage of Business. In addition, Mr. Yu is a CFA charterholder.
